the university of southern california in structural engineering. we know that he may be a very good engineer, but he sure is a very poor politician. you get elected with 57% of the vote, now you have a polarized, divided country, and then you impose these emergency powers on november 22nd. and listen to this. figure this out. on november 22nd, he grants the constitution assembly that's drafting the constitution two more months, and lo and behold, a week later, on november 29, this constitutional assembly, without women, without secularists, without cops, gives the country a new constitution. it's not a very brilliant democratic game to play. >> so what do you see unfolding in the weeks and months to come as far as president morsi is concerned? >> well, look, i think morsi has plaid his game and i think reza was absolutely right. basically the argument with morsi is, you folks need to wait. and on december 15, you can vote. you can vote this constitution up or down. and see, there's kind of a great irony about this. i mean, he rushed this constitution in order to rid himself of the very const

, there were some refinery issues in california going on at the same time. they've been resolved. that's put more gasoline online. the third thing, this one's important, crude oil prices, which are really the underlying feedstock for gasoline, crude oil prices have remained low. as we are concerned about the fiscal cliff and a slowdown in the world's economy and in asia and in europe. so these are the three factors that have come together to give us a sustained drop in the price of gasoline almost over the last three weeks, wolf. >> is this a short-term development? what's in store over the longer term? >> we're into that lower driving season. obviously, spring and summer are bigger driving seasons. you'll see a pickup in demand when we get back into spring. that typically happens. a lot of it depends on the price of oil. that depends on what happens in the world economy. there are two things happening. one is the fiscal cliff. and the recession in europe. if things continue to slow down economically, we'll see less demand for gasoline. if there's more tension in the middle east, we'll see h

a lot better. joining us, the university of southern california law professor ed kleinbarg. previously surged on the joint congressional committee on joint taxation here in washington. practically speaking, let's assume the senate passes legislation tonight and tomorrow, the house of representatives narrowly gets 218 votes, they pass the exact same piece of legislation. having gone over the fiscal cliff technically, does that have any real substantive impact? >> no, wolf, it really doesn't and frankly, even if it gs a few days, congress can retroactively reduce taxes to january 1st and no one's going to be late off in the federal government on january 2nd or 3rd. we actually in my view have a few days. >> here's my concern, and i want ali to get involved in this conversation. here's my concern. the longer it's not worked out, the more likely it won't be worked out because all sorts of extraneous issues will come up and it's going to be more complicated. you worked in congress for a long time, ed, you agree or disagree? >> no, i agree, it becomes more difficult. and if it stretches late

to sandy hook. and it's pretty amazing. he and his wife moved here from california. number one reason, for the schools. he's going to join us to talk about that. his older sons was brothers with jack pinto's brother and they were at that funeral yesterday. they're going to talk about that. vickie soto was a teacher for one of his daughters, she was a substitute a few years ago when his daughter was there, but so memorable, that her daughter still remembers her. we'll be talking with them, and also with the family who moved here from newtown from australia. reason number one, they thought it was the safest town in america, reason number two, for schools. their two boys just went back to school today and their whole family will be with us at the top of the hour. so a special program coming up. >> we've heard this many, many times, just how great the school system is here. and will continue to be, of course, after this. >> you've been doing a great job with these personal stories, erin. we're really looking forward to the next hour. thanks so much for what you're doing. >> thank you. >>

on a road trip through los angeles to get to the california science center where it's now on display. and now the shuttle "atlantis" is taking its place in history without traveling anywhere. cnn's john zarrella is at the kennedy space center. hey, john. >> reporter: hey, candy. you're right, "atlantis" is really the only one of the shuttles that didn't have to take wing to get to its future museum landing site. "atlantis" in november literally just went ten miles down the road from the vehicle assembly building here to the visitor complex. for the viewers out there saying, where is it? that's it right there behind me. that is "atlantis." and it is completely wrapped in shrink wrap. why is that? because they are building the facility, the museum around the shuttle. so it's quiet here now. but i have to tell you, all day today, the workmen were just hammering and they're putting up scaffolding and they're finishing this up by july when the grand opening will be. in march, they're going to actually unwrap "atlantis" when most of the work will be done then. but you can see it's on a 45-
